I am just trialing manager server (25.5.3.2302) to see if it’s right for our company before purchase. In view of this I note on the payments page there are different views for displaying data. Pages are either restricted to 50 entries per page, or you can display all the results by clicking the other button. At the moment I only have 70 test entries in payments and these all display fine, but what I was wondering is are there a maximum amount of entries that can be displayed in this total view? If I had a 10 thousand entries could they all be displayed in this total view without having to load separate pages? Or is there a limit? If so what is the limit?
Hello and welcome to the forum @tonnydog,
There is no imposed limit, however, practically, there is a cost to viewing an arbitrarily large number of Payments, and it’s possible that at some point you might have a server timeout.
Personally, I find that viewing 10,000 records at once is inefficient and I usually break it down to pages of 500-1000 works best in terms of time.
Thanks for your reply, that’s useful information. But how do you specify a custom amount of records that you want to display at once e.g 500, 1000, 2000 etc?
Unfortunately, that’s not possible
But you previously said “I usually break it down to pages of 500-1000 works best in terms of time.”
How are you specifying this range if the standard display is 50 per page or all the entries at once
There are preset pagination values of:
- 50
- 100
- 250
- 500
- 1000
- (All)
You can see those at the bottom left of each tab
Amplifying @Ealfardan’s response, options will not show for quantities beyond what you have entered. You said you only had 70 test entries, so you will only see options for 50 or all. Once you get past 100, you will see that option, as well.
