Inventory Location giving different quantities from inventory quantity summery

Good morning?
I am getting a problem where the system is giving me two different reports on inventory. Inventory by location is giving figures that are not in the system. Yet inventory summery gives true and authentic figures. What could the problem be? Can it be rectified?
