Inventory items list to excel

Manager desktop 25.8.3.2541 will be updating to current version after closing year end books.

Currently I pull up the inventory items screen, switched to advanced query I made that shows item code (my manually assigned part number), scroll to bottom, click the number that is all inventory items (139 today), then copy to clipboard. I open my excel quoting estimation file and paste this data in a sheet named manager io data.

I use that data in excel for vlookups to pull in description based on my part number. I also will be using it to get my raw material cost. The excel file still has that as static data.

In a excel file I use for my cnc lathe program list and setup sheets I pull the same data from the quoting estimation excel file for the descriptions also.

Can I do a data connection from excel to pull this data and refresh on opening the file like we do at work from as400? will this be easier on the server version instead of the desktop version?

additional information.

Also looking to switch to server version soon If I can get it going or find someone local to help setup on my terramaster nas device. Current manager io data files are saved and copied for daily backups on my nas. I am using 2 different laptops to access the data being very careful to close when not using so I do not open on both at once. one laptop is in the machine shop and the other is in the house. Same property with lan network connecting everything.

Hello @brandon_oma692,

Sure you can connect your excel to Manager.

Check this other topic:

But I don’t think you can pull Advanced Queries output with it.

Thank you. I will try that
