Is it possible to break down an item from inventory? For example, if when I purchase it, I buy 1 box of 100, but then I’m using them individually, I don’t want to say the quantity is 0.01. Is there a way to convert it?
Search the forum. There have been many discussions of this topic. Basically, you have two choices:
- Production orders to produce unit inventory items from box inventory items, requiring two separate items.
- Ordering in units despite the fact that your supplier ships in boxes. This happens all the time is not confusing to suppliers. Just make sure your purchase orders prominently call out this fact.
