Purchase Item Quantity Details

Generally the goods we purchase and Sell has its own parameters of quantity. Some goods we buy in Weights (Kg), some in length (meter) and some in number of pieces. Is there anyway to bifurcate these quantity details in single invoice or in inventory items. Its difficult to actually analyse the quantity of Goods without getting any description about quantity i.e whether the Quantity of Inventory is in Pieces, Kg, Or Meter.
