Importing bank statements .csv template?

This is the first line of my CVS file.

Not sure where you get this from, I was expecting actual CSV file.

If you like, send me your CSV file to lubos@manager.io and Iā€™ll have a look.

Please make the columns case-in-sensitive. so no matter if write date Date or DaTeā€¦
This will make live for user much easier

And another Question to the bank-import.
If I have successfully import the transactions, is there a way to assign an Invoice to the given incomming?

You are best to use a QIF to import then donā€™t have the CSV situations

To assign an invoice click Edit next to the transaction then change the Account

Thanks for your amazing software, and as a neighbourhood commitee that accepts voluminous receipts, using the Bank Import Template would be a great help but will need assistance for the below :

Here are the list of fields that work for the Bank Import
Date (dd/mm/yyyy)
Payee (it works for both Payee and Payer)
Reference
Description
Amount

What I would like is how to improve the Template to recognise :
a) Account (Customer Credits)
b) Customer (a requirement for using Customer Credits)

What is the header field that I can use to enter this into the template?

Ah, solved.

Once I update the Bank Rulesā€¦then the above problem is solved! Thanks so much!!!

Hi,

I am struggled importing bank statement.CSV from yesterday.
It was all okay but from yesterday Manager was trying to import most of the transactions that have been already imported.
So what I did not to import all those coincided transactions, I removed them and tried to import what I havenā€™t imported before but then Manager doesnā€™t recognise the date. It keeps saying date in CSV file must be in format dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy.
When I export CSV file from my bank, it automatically sets dd/mm/yy and I had no problems til last week but from yesterday it didnā€™t work. I changed the format to dd/mm/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy manually but still didnā€™t work.

What should I do?

The format must be dd/mm/yyyy. Your format is dd/mm/yy that is year is only two digits. So fix that and Iā€™m sure it will import.

Hi,

I already tried with dd/mm/yyyy format but didnā€™t work. Also it worked with dd/mm/yy til last week but why from yesterday?

Any chance you could send me CSV file you are trying to import to lubos@manager.io ?

Thanks Brucanna, your advice worked fro meā€¦ phew - I was having the same issue as chris.chai but saving it as a qif file fixed it for me.

hi, when i convert the excel to csv file date format is not save, its coming like that 04-01-2016, how can i do as per you

This is an Excel conversion issue. Convert the date formats in Excel before converting to CSV.

Hi there:

I was importing successfuly from Feb to Novā€¦ But I get stucked in Dec wiht the ā€œDate in CSV file must be in format dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyyā€ error:

And this is my CSV file:

I can see what Iā€™m doing differently from other months. Iā€™m trying to remove special chars, but I get allways the same result.

Does the MM/DD/YYYY format in the CSV file match the date preferences you have selected in Manager? Or is Manager set to DD/MM/YYYY?

Yesā€¦ And I have also triyed in the other way around:

is there any format where credit, debit and balance of the statement will be shown properly?

Your question is not clear. What are you referring to as ā€œany format?ā€ And what do you mean by ā€œshown properly?ā€ This topic is about importing bank statements in *.csv files.

i was trying to upload a bank statement in .csv format. problem i am facing is credit and debit amount is not shown in manager. and also balance keeps on adding up.
