How are small businesses handling bookkeeping without hiring full-time staff?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask how other small business owners are managing their bookkeeping these days.

I’ve been seeing that once the business starts growing, it becomes really hard to keep up with all the transactions, invoices, bank reconciliations and reports on time. A lot of people start by doing it themself, but later it gets confusing and takes too much time.

Are you guys using only software like Manager for this, or do you work with some virtual bookkeeper / outside service?

For me the main issue always looks like time and keeping everything accurate every month.

Would love to know what’s working for others here.

Thanks

Hello @chickpeafilae,

Welcome to the forum.

Please note that the purpose of this forum is to discuss the development of Manager.io.

You can check out the forum’s guidelines and TOS for more info.

That aside, Manager is developed with ease of use in mind so that users should be able to do most of their bookkeeping themselves without need for a bookkeeper. But that doesn’t mean that you will not need a professional accountant to be able to reconcile, close and overall maintain your accounting records.

You can try out Manager by yourself and in case you find that professional help is still needed, you will find local accountants familiar with Manager on this page:

You can either opt for continuing services with them, or in case you have an inhouse accountant, they will help you transition to Manager more easily and quickly.
