Help resetting Linux installation

Yesterday I attempted to run Manager (free edition) from a remote Linux computer using X11 forwarding. It seemed to work but I didn’t try doing much. Today I am attempting to use Manager.io on my main computer and having no luck at all. If I just run it I get an empty window. Setting the environment variable WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER to 1 I get a window with the message

Could not connect to proxy server 192.168.8.186: Connection refused

Now 192.168.8.186 just happens to the IP of the remote computer that I was connecting from yesterday. So it seems that Manager has somehow retained that IP and is now attempting to use it to connect to the internal server. So I’ve tried hunting for configuration files where Manager might be storing that address but I can’t find anything. I’d be happy even scrapping anything from Manager from my computer and starting from scratch. But I can’t work out what needs to be done…

Many thanks for any suggestions.

The Free Edition (Desktop Edition) is single user and only works on the local computer at http://127.0.0.1:55667
It is usually not accessible from other computers. *)
