Has a login been added to the desktop version

Has a login been added to the desktop version and why does it not work when updating the password?

This could be a bug, however, the error message states that this is an instance of Manager Server Edition.

Did you install Server Edition along with Desktop Edition? If not, did you do anything unusual?

No, as @Ealfardan already explained that is the server edition not the desktop one. However, I placed it in the bugs category because even for server you should not get an internal error. The latter is always indicating a bug, but you should install the Desktop version.

“I didn’t do anything, I just downloaded the latest version
24.11.13.1938”

ManagerServer install but This extension is not available on the device D:\a\Manager\Manager\ManagerServer\

Did you download it from: https://www.manager.io/download

It is also not clear which Edition (Windows, Mac, Linux)

YES
Windows

I use Mac but also noticed that now my Mac System login credentials appear on the top right side which I did not before. The username and password are for your system and not to login to Manager because Desktop is not multi-user. I guess this has been added to enable connections with outside systems, but it should not allow us to change OS system passwords, etc. So it looks like some experimentation by @Lubos but with potential issues. Let’s wait what the response will be.

@Mohamed_Abd_Elazeem, you should try this then:

Login with your PC credentials and tell us how it goes.

Also, how did you get this internal error? Did you login without credentials?

Fixed in the latest version (24.11.14). I think it’s okay to show username of logged in user because this information is used in History. But showing Logout button doesn’t make sense in desktop edition context. Neither changing password.
