I have to give the accountants a general ledger of all transactions for a specific tax year. The company in question is fairly small, but when I try to export to PDF by clicking the “PDF” button, nothing happens. I presume the data is too much for the export as I can’t think of any other reason that this would be a problem, but I can’t fathom it for such a comparatively small company. What exacerbates my frustration here is that there is no way to extract the GL transactions in any way except all the accounts or one account. (Perhaps this could be improved by being able to extract the GL transactions by account type, or some other kind of filtering.)
Secondly, if I want to print the file to PDF, I get the following error and the process goes nowhere:
I really can’t adequately express how much this aggravates me, because I need to hand these reports over and if I export to Excel it looks atrocious.
Then, my other gripe is that the names that I so diligently put in the “Payee” field aren’t displayed in the General Ledger transactions (?!). Is there any way around this?
