Is it possible to change the “creditor statement” name to “Payment Advise”?
I have customers and suppliers that is the same company and it is confusing to name the creditors advise a statement.
See attached document of the previous program I have used.AJ Bolts.PDF (98.0 KB)
First of all, no report in Manager is named Creditor Statement or Creditor Advise. All customer and supplier statements of both types are titled simply Statement. And as @Joe91 wrote, a statement in accounting is a statement.
Second, if you want to avoid confusion, do not rename a statement as a payment advise. An advise/advice (depending on your preferred spelling), is something else. An advice documents a specific transaction, such as a payment, not the state of a customer’s or supplier’s account.
Third, when another company is both a customer and a supplier, statements from Manager will not combine their activities as both. A customer statement will include only their buying activity. A supplier statement will include only their selling activity. So if you really want to avoid confusion, you should rename statements by adding the descriptive terms, Customer or Supplier.
You just replace the {{title}} with the Text that you want
<td style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 32px">New statement title </td>
It looks like you do not have the correct brackets - it was {{title¦ replace…}} but however uploaded the image, it isn’t clear enough to see what you have keyed in
The remittance advise is not the same as a statement just as @Tut has already described:
The remittance advise is an notice (advice) that a payment has been made (remitted). A statement on the other hand is a disclosure of the total account balance whether to be paid or not.
I guess what you really need is to show the allocation of your payments inside of your receipts / payment and for that you can copy the statements to a new receipt or payment and have those (payment or receipt) show the titles: Remittance Advice and Credit Advice respectively.
