Form Defaults custom theme not recognized on sales invoices when copying

Hi @lubos, when i use copy to sales invoice from a sales order the custom theme is not checked.

21.4.87 - W10 - desktop

Try to change Settings → Form defaults → Purchase invoice → Custom theme

That’s the problem. It is checked in my form defaults.

In Manager 21.4.87 macOS Desktop I can not replicate the problem,Please confirm if checked in both, ie form defaults for Sales Order and for Saies Invoice. Screenshots help. Please also try with a new entry thus new Sales Order where custom theme should be automaticaly assigned based on the form default settings and then in view copy to Sales Invoice and see if customs theme as selected in form default appears.

In my form defaults i have a custom theme set for my sales invoices and i do not have a custom theme for my sales orders. If i check the box for a custom theme for a sales order in form defaults everything works Ok even when i select no custom theme.

You did not select the theme. You only checked the box, but you have to select the theme under it. Click on “plain” and then you will see your theme selection options.

I know,

You did not show a screenshot of the selection, can you please take a screenshot and show the options you can select from for each form default, i.e. Purchase Order and Purchase invoice… The screenshot you showed did not show the dropdown list of possible themes you can select from. Also show a screenshot of your themes in setting to see which custom themes you created and thus should show in the dropdown list in both the Purchase Order and Purchase Invoice default form settings.

@eko, I do not know why you keep referring purchase orders and purchase invoices. The topic is about sales orders being copied to sales invoices.

When no other custom theme is selected, Plain is automatically selected. It is the default, and there is no need to select it. In fact, because it is the default, it does not even appear in the dropdown list for selection.

Yes and the custom theme is not checked when he copies them which is the problem statement. So I asked him to check if he assigned the customs themes in the form defaults.

@Frankie, I can replicate this. It is a bug that was fixed last month for sales orders, purchase orders, and delivery notes, but apparently not for sales invoices. I am moving it to the bugs category and editing the subject.

Thanks

Hi @Tut, just updated to the latest version (21.4.95) and it also happens when copying a sales orders to a delivery note.

Fixed in the latest version (21.5.3)

@lubos thanks.

I have some other small issues.

In my Form Defaults i have set Sales Order - Tax Code (BTW 21%) and i have set Sales Invoice - Account (verkopen)

When i add a line in Sales Order the Tax Code is “empty” (no tax).

When i copy a Sales Order to a Sales Invoice the Account is empty.

When add a line in Sales Invoice - Add Line the Account and Tax Code are empty.

W10 - 21.5.5 - desktop

This is not a bug. Form default is basically “initial state” for new form. It’s not possible to set defaults for “add line”.

This is because Sales Order doesn’t have Account column so there is nothing to copy.

I’m seeing this a bit different (only my opinion). You are copying the sales order information to the default sales invoice and there is the account set. As well as the tax code, if not set in the sales order it should use the default tax code of the sales invoice.

If you want account to copy from sales order to sales invoice, use Item column which is on both documents.

Hi @lubos, thanks for the advice. I will try that.
