Email and SMPT server settings

I dont have smpt server settings I have pop3 can I still use that for sending emails from manager

Yes, you do have an SMTP server. You cannot send email without one. If you have ever sent an email from within Manager, you have entered your SMTP credentials. If not, check the email settings for your regular email client. If you still can’t find the information, contact your email provider.

oh ok thanks we have rung them before and they said we only have pop3 so I will carry on saving as PDF and attach to my email. Oh wait I also have an outlook.com account that has smpt setting will try that

no it says
The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.57 Client not authenticated to send mail. Error: 535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful [SYBPR01CA0209.ausprd01.prod.outlook.com] what ever that means. To Hard will go back to what I was doing

Pop is one of the protocols to receive email, something Manager does not do.

SMTP is the protocol to send email, so the details Manager requires.

Most require some form of authentication (login) by the remote email server. The exact method varies with email server.

Thanks patch I did put all my log in details but will try again later
