What is digital ocean?

The server edition is meant for businesses with the knowledge and resources to install and maintain their own installations. If you don’t know how to do this, the cloud edition is a better choice.
I agree with Tut’s recommendation. If you do proceed with hosting ManagerServer on a Digital Ocean Droplet, you can follow the official instructions for installing on Ubuntu, or if you prefer Centos7, follow my guide here:

Hosting the server app yourself requires a license. It also is your responsibility to secure the server, backup the data, know how to recover/rebuild/restore, etc…
