Detect sales order duplicate in sales invoice tab

There are instances that the user copies the sales order twice and manager just creates a new invoice number with the same sales order number. Is there any way to filter and find these duplicates in the sales invoice tab?

Try Advanced Queries, if failing explain what you have done illustrated with screenshots.

What should I put in the query? It’s okay if the auditor knows what was duplicated, but for finding duplicates, I’m not sure what to put

Single order can have multiple invoices. Sales Orders tab shows order amount and invoiced amount. Alternatively, there could be new column added to Sales Orders tab so could also show how many invoices are linked to order. This would make it easy to see orders where there is more than one invoice linked. Would that work?

Those orders used to show Over Invoiced status which has been changed now. Dont know about the complexity of this but if there is some kind of customization added to these statuses that would be great.

That would be great honestly. What is the use case of one sales order having multiple invoices though?

Slightly out of topic but, would have one sales invoice with multiple sales order have more use cases?

OK, I’ve added this to ideas. I need to get through inventory issues before I can add this but it’s fairly easy once I get to it.

Your customer makes an order but you cannot deliver all items at once because some are out of stock. You will issue invoice only for items that you can deliver now for example.

Some people have asked for this when customer is making daily orders and you want to invoice once a month for all orders. In this case you would not tracked whether orders are invoiced. Just deliver what you can based on the orders and then invoice the customer for all delivered items without associating invoice with any particular order.

What about adding ability to select columns as reference rather than static text in Advance Query? Which will be useful for much more than this.
