In the latest version 2.18.61, to see the SUM of total quantity and other data we paste the data in Libreoffice Calc. When We copy the data to spreadsheet, sum function is unable to perform the function. The data in All the TABS is nether NUMBER NOR TEXT. We have tried to convert it no number and its not happening.
if you are using the desktop or Server version, then yes you could stop applying updates.
This will stop you getting corrections for any bugs and new features.
The problem you face is not a bug - it was never a supported feature of Manager, so can not now be classed as a bug. A bug is a supported feature that no longer works
But Now We Just Got Stuck In Middle. Also there is no option for SUM total of Qty Sold In An invoice to cross check with physical.
In My Case, Sum Function is Working On Serial No. ( see attachment) but not any other field
Due to this Function Error We can even analyses the date within an invoice
Manually selecting and copying directly from the webpage has nothing to do with how manager is coded. It’s how websites work in general.
What probably happened is that you might have selected additional invisible characters along with your numbers. To test this you can use this spreadsheet function to test the length of cell values. For example: =Len(d22) should yield 3 for number or greater than 6 if you have copied some text with it.
Anyway, I think your best solution is to make a custom report so you can copy and paste invoice lines using Copy to clipboard and avoid copying mistakes.
It is not possible to have the sum of the quantities on a sales invoice because the quantities may all be in different units eg how you you sum this invoice
Sugar 10 Kgs €3/kg € 30
Milk 25 L €1/L € 25
Total € 55
Adding together 10 Kgs and 25 L would be a complete nonsense
