Custom Reports - Progressive Balance

Dear @lubos, would it be possible to show progressive balances (opening, progressive and closing) also in custom reports?

That would be nice because it would allow custom reports to completely reproduce general ledger transactions report for example. It’s definitely on my mind.

If not progressive balance, at-least the total’s balance (debit-credit=balance) would provide some solution for this requirement.

@abdulbari to get employee balance as at specific date, there would need to be a screen showing transactions across all employees, then you’d be able to apply date filter and group by employee. Such a screen does not exist but I’m working on generic general ledger screen that will allow that.

I think this general ledger screen with advance queries is gonna solve that issue.

I don’t think it is up to the level of custom report. Because the new “Advanced Query” feature is within any one of the tab only, means we may filter out the records inside one tab and make it a report.
Definitely it is a very best feature and good positive progress in our Manager.io
As per my understanding, Advanced Query may not call any of the transactions beyond the particular tab.
But in custom report, we can call most of the general ledger transactions and filter for making a report.
My expectation here is, if we may have the option to have a feature to produce calculated balance in it, it will be more useful.

This is what i am talking about. This screen/tab with advance queries may conclude the need for old custom reports. I wasnt referring to the Advance queries within the tab only. But lets see what happens.
