Custom Language Translation

Hello, is it possible to manually translate manager strings?

Eg, in WHMCS you create an overrides file, or just a file (copied from the english.php) then you edit the strings there so when you change language you actually see the strings you translated, not the ones automatically translated.

Is this something that is available in manager? I wouldnt mind doing the string translation for the whole software.

Hello @Aniwene_Madolomani,

Do you have your language on the available list of Languages?

If not, what is your language?

Hello , the language is in the available list of Language #Kiswahili @Ealfardan Is it possible to edit the language file, and then reupload?

Is it possible to put it as the default language when user logs in? How do i change the default Manager language from English to Kiswahili. (For All users, not just me)

And is it possible to disable all languages and just Leave Kiswahili & English.

As with other websites, viewing preferences are saved in the computer of the user in a cookie.

Once the user makes the language choice, it’s going to be remembered until the user deliberately changes the language or clears internet history.

As far as the default language for all users, unfortunately, every user has to set his own viewing language.

Unfortunately not

Hello @Ealfardan I have just requested to join the translation team.

The translation team should handle this in time

It would be great to have an option to manually translate the language files. But not change the actual strings used in the software which is helpful when it comes to support. The whmcs structure of using overrides is very nice, we could try to implement that in our own manager.io way.

I’m not the developer, I’m just a forum mod :slightly_smiling_face:

This is the developer @lubos

Oh yes i guess @lubos we can try this? I am doing it with whmcs and i am also doing it with cPanel and WHM, we plan to start doing it also in panel alpha. The reason for this is because, languages like Kiswahili, although massively used, have so many different dialects, eg Tanzanian, Kenyan, Ugandan and Congo swahili are different. Also it has very few vocabularies when it comes to the Tech space, so it would be great to just have ability to have manual translation. I have some screenshots of the translations i have already started working on. Manually, and for internal purposes.

This is WHMCS

This is cPanel

Would love to do the same for Manager.io (Internally)
