Only the developer can answer that and future plans are rarely divulged

As you can see, the reports contain info about several invoices so a custom field on a particular invoice logically will not be shown on a report.
However, custom fields placed on a supplier or customer form will show up at the bottom on a report of an individual supplier or customer like, e.g., the Supplier Statements (Transactions).
