I just want to find out our accountants use Pastel and they will be doing our tax returns etc - please advise if manager is cross compatible?
That depends what you mean by “cross compatible.” Very few, if any, accounting programs can actually exchange full data. But there is no reason your accountants should not be able to complete your tax returns on the basis of reports available from Manager. The key is to properly define your chart of accounts after consultation with your accountants.
These comments are based on the presumption that tax returns in your jurisdiction do not include transaction-by-transaction data, but only summaries. But Manager will, for example, accurately compute such things as VAT owed or to be refunded. Typical tax return preparation does not require full bookkeeping information.
If you require an audit, that is a different matter. But your accountants can download Manager for free and examine a copy of your business data file.
All our accountants also use PASTEL. Just give them the desktop version to install and your backup. They will be able to work from that.
