Consume inventory items

Dears,

Please how do I consume inventory items within my organization? For instance if I sell books, how do I consume books that are in my inventory list?
kindly help with ideas.

You can use a Journal Entry to transfer the Inventory item from Inventory on Hand to an expense account.
