Move sales items to Inventory items

I was putting my items to Sales invoice items,but now i come to know that to know items quantity,i should use inventory items instead of Sales invoice items.now my whole items are in Sales invoice items,how can i move my items from Sales invoice items to Inventory items?

And also show me how to put purchasing items so that i know my items quantity and other details when i sale items later?

You will need to fix invoices one by one by selecting the correct account on each - Inventory - sales, then select inventory item.

When purchasing inventory, the purchase amount needs to be allocated to Inventory on hand account.
