I have two sets of “books” on my computer, my Company, and a Sporting Club and am about to get another with my son beginning his own business.
I wonder if there is the possibility to being able to change the Colour Scheme so as to being able to tell one that they are in the wrong database.
Been known to input several minutes of data before realising OOOPS? lol
No, you cannot change the color scheme. But the name of the business is always displayed at the top of the window containing any Edit or View screen for all transactions, lists, registers, reports, or settings.
yes I know that…but we do not always look at the name…we are more concentrated with getting data into the computer. A colour scheme which is wrong rings bells in ones matter between the ears. Being able to select between 3 or 4 colour schemes would be better.
What if you have 10 or 100 businesses? It would not make sense. It really is part of data entry discipline in whatever software to know which file you are working on yourself. There is no merit to this request, especially looking at the more than 200 ones that made it into the ideas category and are yet to be resolved. Adding more to that pile of good to haves but not essential features should have priority. Even the bugs category has not been cleared for a while which is puzzling as @Lubos usually was quick to resolve issues posted there.
@eko raises an excellent point. Features that seem simple to one user must work for all users. You indicated “two” entities on “my computer.” But there are many accountants using Manager who have dozens, if not hundreds, of clients. Changing colors would be pointless. Besides, users of server or cloud editions might be colorblind.
It would be really useful to have a color scheme option to quickly know which database you’re working on, especially if you manage more than one. It doesn’t have to be for everyone, just an optional feature for those who want it. It’s like the inventory module—some use it, some don’t, but it’s there if needed.
