You can’t debit or credit bank account via journal entry anymore because it’s not needed.
When you go to Bank accounts tab, you can create Spend money or Receive money transaction and debit/credit any account. You can also indicate whether bank transaction has been cleared or not cleared (e.g. unpresented cheque)
Lubos, I have checked out your suggestion about going to the Bank Accounts tab but there is no option to SPEND MONEY or RECEIVE MONEY. I had read that in the Guides but couldn’t find the options you describe.
The only tab within the Bank Accounts is:
New Bank Account
and then inside that:
Edit
which allows for name, account #, Institution and Opening balance.
Is there another version of Manager that you must be referring to? I am using the Desktop version.
Ah, you are brilliant Itmoto. Why wasn’t there a simple Spend Money, Receive MOney immediately in the Bank accounts tab and then we could choose which account to use.

Just need to remember, blue fugure’s and dashes are all clickable.
Set up a test business and have a play, thats the best way of getting to know Manager then things become much easier.
