I am really enjoying Manager IO. However one issue is getting in the way of how I use the app and I’m not the only one experiencing issues with bank transaction imports:
I am finding the ‘check for new transactions’ feature with my connected bank accounts skips loading some transactions. I notice this issue when my bank account totals in Manager IO do not reflect the actual bank figures OR I can see that certain transactions won’t load. What doesn’t get loaded seems to be indiscriminate, as it happens on all kinds of transactions in or out and regardless of whether I’ve fixed my balance or not.
My workaround is to manually input or import transactions. However to do this, I need to dig through and cross analyse between what Manager IO has and what my bank shows.
To compound this, the order of transactions is not honoured in Manager IO if transactions sit on the same date. This is problematic when there are a mix of inbound and outbound transactions.
Also, I have the ‘can have pending transactions’ feature activated for my accounts, however it does not seem to impact transaction imports. Practically, only cleared transactions are loaded into Manager IO.
What I’d ask the development team is:
- Can all transactions get imported? Is this a Basiq or Manager IO issue?
- Can the sequence of transactions from the bank be honoured?
