Bank feed via Basiq incorrect dates and missing some transactions

Hi folks,

I’ve been using the Basiq bank feed feature since late 2024. (As per https://www.manager.io/guides/bank-feed-providers)

It’s great, however it seems that the dates do not match my bank statement. Sometimes they vary by 5-6 days.

Also, the bank feed seems to miss occasional transactions. There seems to be no consistency in the kind of transactions that are omitted.

These two faults combine to make bank reconciliations a tremendous headache.

Perhaps it’s an error with the formatting of data from my bank (Horizon Bank).

If anyone has any ideas of how to resolve these issues, I’d be grateful. In the meantime I will revert to downloading an OFX file and importing it.

These issues are also noted by @michhes_au in this post:

I have recently set up a bank feed to ANZ and am having a similar issue, transactions received with a date one day earlier than what is listed in the bank account. It also does not bring in the transactions until a couple of days after the transaction date as shown in the bank account.

Having used Xero in another company, these transactions would have appeared early the day after appearing in the bank account

Is there any way to see what transactions are in basiq? Could this be a time zone issue given I am in AWST and the bank is in AEST.
