I noticed that Manager v21.6.46 has better contrast making it already much better, thanks @lubos
What do you believe has changed, @eko? Comparing v21.6.46 side by side with an earlier version, I detect no change on any page.
You are right, was the brightness of the screen that changed not Manager. Sorry for that ![]()
Not taking sides in either camp, but just an observation that a lot of applications now offer a dark mode which may be worth consideration in implementing. I also believe that there is a guideline for websites to follow with regard to visual impairment which may be worth looking at, as I understand it, Manager uses a web browser to display the program in
I hope this remains the case. In my opinion before implementing the preferences of keyboard interior decorators I would far prefer resources were used for:
-
Country specific reporting development environment to enable calculation and display of the exact accounting calculation results for each jurisdiction. Sufficiently easy to use that most jurisdictions have country specific reporting
-
Electronic data interchange consistent with the soon to be mandated requirements of each jurisdictions tax authority. Failure to achieve this would mean Manager would cease to be a viable accounting solution and Managers entire business model would no longer be sustainable. Implementation of electronic communication has identical business restrictions as country specific reporting. Unfortunately new government legislation tends to reinforce large oligopolies and disadvantage small business so this task is not easy.
-
Multi rate tax codes consisting a set of single rate tax codes to enable practical country specific localisations and electronic reporting in jurisdictions with multiple levels of taxation on goods and services / value added. Again without this Manager will soon cease to be a viable accounting solution in the near future when electronic communication with their tax authority is mandated.
-
Enhances bank import to compensate for not implementing bank feeds with the many banks world wide. Specifically what would help is the ability to customise the input filters to support local conventions (number formats, field separators etc). Adding smarter matching between imported and existing transactions to enable detection of errors or omissions in either.

In summary Manger has a lot of urgent functional requirements which must be addressed for Manger to continue to exist at all, irrespective of itβs colour scheme.
