Change Application Data Location

I select an external disk for the Application Data Folder. After closing and opening the application, it reverts back to the old default settings.

It isn’t clear what all you have done. There are two parts to moving the application data folder:

  • Changing the location on the Preferences page
  • Moving the data file to the new location

Have you read this Guide: Move desktop application data to another folder | Manager? The example is for moving the application data folder to Dropbox on a Windows system, but the concept holds regardless.
