How do I configure the application to get cash flow statement from the desktop edition
You just need to create a Cash Flow Statement under the Reports tab. By default, it will fit most situations. Only if you want to adjust the activity classifications to non-standard categories do you need to do anything else. You do that by editing account definitions under Chart of Accounts in Settings.
From Custom reports or what??
You probably need to update your software
Activate the Bank and Cash accounts
tab and and Receipts
and Payments
tabs. The Report will appear after that.
Without bank or cash accounts, you cannot have any cash flow.
It also looks like you are entering everything with the journal entries. You need to read the Guides.
What could be the side effects
The side effects are that you lose almost every feature of the program.
