Can't open a business file I just created

I am running the desktop version for MacOS. Currently running Sonoma 14.6.1 and Manager 24.12.11.1975. The business file is at 22MB and when I click to open it, the word start shows at the top and nothing else happens?
What should I do? Are the transactions lost or are they stored separately?

Transaction records are stored in a separate data file. Please describe exactly what your actions were, including where you were clicking, and post screenshots of what you see at every step.

Hello,

Thanks for the quick reply. It seems to be a memory issue. I closed applications and cleared space in my hard disk. It just opened a few minutes ago
