Batch create/update with new custom fields

This issue also affects the new footers as I have described here:

Append static content to views using "Footers"

I tried adding Footers to sales invoices using Batch Update but can only manage to check (tick) the footer box. Is it possible to select footers (one or more), that you wish to appear on documents, using Batch update and Batch create?

I hope that this is just part of the transition to the new style features and that batch create and batch update will eventually work with the new paradigm
