Average cost problem

I am facing problem in total cost and average cost.
i am on server edition, i created new business, added customer, supplier, product, bank etc.

Purchased a product from suplier, paid that PI.
now system is showing QT available but at zero cost.
I dont want to put average cost manually, it should be calculated automatic based on purchase price and QT.

Summary is showing " inventory on hand" value zero also.

im unable to understand what happened as im using manager for few year and other business are fine, im having this issue only with new business.

server version is : 24.6.30.1707

Now, I know that periodic inventory revaluation is not popular with many users. I think there is something in terms of usability that I’m missing to make it good.

Periodic inventory revaluation is solving all the edge-cases I was struggling with under perpetual inventory revaluation. So while I’m certain periodic inventory revaluation is the way to go, I didn’t quite nail down how to make it good.

Perhaps the option of switching off the automated inventory revaluation function, if the main issue relates to processing performance. Otherwise a warning - the latest inventory valuation excludes certain transactions and needs to be updated.

I am very much confused and it was already automatic process and inventory in hand was showing as assets and that was perfectly fine as a accounting rules.

Cost of total purchase invoices and total quantity for those purchase invoices can determine average cost of that product so why we had to do it manually?

It looks like time taking process that we have to use some manual process while we are using the software.

Also, there is no inventory revaluation option in setting for me. In using admin account

@lubos . Is it possible to use purchase invoice data to automatically determine value of “inventory in hand” as asset? I like that more.

Can you make process ( Using the Inventory Revaluation Worksheet) automatic ?
With manual process and daily 10-15 PIs, specially when same product is being purchase from different vendors from different cities in different price
, assets will show wrong data because no one will use “revaluation process” after every PI

It isn’t for a perpetual system as mentioned in another topic. It is a step backward and I hope that you figure it out.

Have a look at this new approach.

I think it should be much easier to recalculate your average costs now.
