I added an invoice as an attachment to a payment using my mobile device as it easy to capture the image on the camera. I can see that photo on the web version. I then added an attachment using the web version from a scanned copy. When I go to the attachment tabs, I can only see the attachment added from the web version, not the one I scanned from the mobile device. Am I doing something wrong? It is much easier to scan from the mobile version, but do need to see all attachments on the web version as that is the version we use most of the time.
It isn’t clear what you mean by the “web version” or exactly what you mean when referring to a mobile device. Manager is available in desktop, server, and cloud editions. The server and cloud editions are accessed via web browsers on any device that can connect to an intranet or the internet, as appropriate.
Attachments must be files accessible from whatever device you are running or accessing the program from. If you make an attachment while running one edition, but cannot see it when running another, that means you are actually operating two different editions with two separate business data files. Part of the entries or attachments you make are being saved in one data file and part in another as unrelated businesses.
Apologies for lack of clarity. If the screen came through to the forum you will see two test entries that both have a photo icon but only 1 attachment icon. The one without an attachment was taken from Manager software on the mobile version, whilst the one that is attached was uploaded from my computer using a web browser (edge). Hope that makes sense.
You have not clarified very much. There is no such thing as a “mobile version.” Versions are release numbers. You need to specify which edition you are using—desktop, server, or cloud. Then tell us the version number from bottom of the window.
Next, you need to post screenshots of the View screens of both transactions. Be sure to include the attachment information at the bottom.
I am using the cloud edition and only have one company called test. Sorry for calling it a mobile version. I called it that because I am accessing the cloud version from my mobile device. It is version 23.7.28.929. I only have one company. I decided to upload another image from my mobile phone and this time it also appears on my computer as an attachment. I think I must have exited the screen on my mobile phone before it had time to save as an attachment last time. Just seemed strange that the image was attached but not showing as an attachment. There were certainly not two different data files. Anyway, looks like all ok. Sorry I made this confusing for you. I do like the program, hence looking at the cloud version. We will most likely purchase after the trial. If it is ok to ask you, I would be interested to know if there are any plans in the future for managing employee leave entitlements?
Search the ideas category on the forum for such discussions. Only the developer decides what additional features will be added, and plans are rarely announced. Scheduling of improvements is announced even more rarely, with timelines often missed.
