Transaction-type statements do not show currency symbols

When creating a customer or supplier statement of the Transactions type, currency symbols are not shown. For example, the following excerpt from the supplier statements list is from a company with its base currency set as the Euro. The particular supplier is set to GBP: [25%20AM] However, when the statement is viewed, there is no indication which currency is involved: [28%20AM]
