Is it possible to add more than 1 image to items? Or any other forms?
1 Image is not enough most of the time. I’d like to be able to attach multiple images and maybe have the the option to scroll through them gallery style.
EDIT:
Additionally, it would be nice to have better support for adding those images to invoices etc… Because as of now, I don’t find it very useful with the current template. The image replaces the Item name and the size is very disproportional. Usually very big and covers the whole page depending on the image size. It would be nice to have a better template for that. A more standard one.
So im not looking to turn Manager into a photo gallery. But something like 4 image slots would be nice. And then once you tick the “show item images”, it should not replace the item name on the invoice but add the image next to it (usually first column).
The “show item images” tick box should come with 2 configurable option. A drop-down menu for image size, so “Small”, “Medium” and “Large” so the template can be kept standard and automatically resize image based on your choice. and another drop-down to allow you to choose which image you want to show out of the 4 image upload slots.
Exactly what are you asking about? You can only add one image of an inventory item. But you can attach as many images as you want to a transaction on the View screen.
I guess my main question was regarding inventory items. It would be nice if we could add more than 1 image (not attachment). That way, by clicking the image icon, it would pop up the first image and then have little Left / Right arrows to scroll through the images right from the pop-up it self.
So you’d like to turn Manager into an inventory item photo-gallery? I could imagine that this would be useful if Manager would be a Point of Sales (POS) system but maybe a stretch too far for an accounting system. I do not think that our Manager users would like to click even more buttons, arrows or whatever, but I am neutral about this request.
I was going to create a new post but ill just edit this and the title.

That is a photo gallery. Also, Manager does not have image editing functions such as compression and resizing but that seems now to be added as well. As such I am no longer neutral but opposed to this requests as there are more priorities such as replacement of custom themes and better ideas such as inventory alerts.
I still feel like its a much needed and simple thing to implement. The template for showing the images on invoice definitely needs some work. As I mentioned, it should not replace the item name and should not fill the whole page. Its just a matter of making sure the image fits within a specific space/cell.
And having 4 image asots would go a long way. Many items cannot be shown in just 1 picture.
Also, I agree, It might not be as important as other feature requests.i never mentioned anything about the priority. Just that somewhere along the line, would be great to have this. Although fixing how the image is shown on the invoice should be of higher priority than the image slots.
I’m not sure about Excel. I will try it later, but on macOS numbers… it fits the image in the cell. And as you resize the cell, the image expands with it. Which is exactly the behavior you would want.
Maybe you could try combining your images into one, set the size according to what you want then upload it to Inventory Item. The default Invoice Template will display an image according to the size of the image you uploaded to the inventory item.
Make up a composite image that contains the images you want to show using an image software manager - that way, you will one image to add to your inventory item
