Fixed Asset Items do not have the inactive item option. Sold fixed asset items still show among the fixed asset items list when the drop-down is clicked.
I suggest an inactive button be added also to fixed asset item to prevent them showing among fixed asset item in the drop-down list at the point where the item will never be involved in any transaction again.
This is not a call to replace or modify the Disposed fixed asset option. Items marked as sold may still be selected for transactions (e.g. expenses incurred in disposing of the item).
I presume this is very essential especially in a situations where you have so many list of deposed/sold items still appearing in the report list of fixed assets though at zero value. it is important for the disposed item to only occur in deposal item report.
Actually I’ve improved this a few months ago so disposed fixed assets do not show in autocomplete suggestions. I didn’t realize there was a topic requesting it but I consider this to be resolved.
I do not consider Inactive checkbox appropriate. Disposed checkbox is basically serving that function.
