I’m a little bit confused. In the latest version 24.5.20.1558, the currency revaluation tab is missing. Is it just me, or is the tab removed and the system returned to the old one? The chart of accounts goes back to the “Foreign exchange gains (losses)”, just like before too.
@Lubos, we have some serious problems with the disappearance of the recently introduced Currency Revaluations tab and under Reports a Currency Revaluation Worksheet in Manager Server v24.5.21.1562 (Ubuntu 20.04). When adding an exchange rate we would run these and it would adjust and show properly Unrealized currency gains (losses).
However, now we face the situation that it is a mess regarding randomly showing or not! Unrealized currency gains (losses). One business all of a sudden no longer has any of these while in a recent desktop (MacOS) 24.4.24.1461 it still showed a significant amount. We can not explain the disappearance of that figure. As the currency is volatile we at least updated the exchange rates frequently and ran the worksheet and life was good. Now we can not explain where the figures went.
I think the worksheet method is gone for both investments and foreign currencies. Because i cannot find the Dynamic Rerolling calculation under Obsolete Features.
It wouldve been better if both methods were kept as optional. So everyone can use the method which they find suitable for them.
Yeah, maybe it is. When the currency revaluation is deployed, it helps me control the different currencies’ calculations. So when the tab was not there, I was confused. It comes back to the old method again. Maybe it’s being worked on so it will be better.
