I have the cloud edition, I have multiple users over multiple locations.
I want every user to be able to affect certain expense accounts.
how can I determine which expense accounts are visible to each user?
to prevent making unwanted transactions to wrong accounts.
You can use Tracking codes (set Locations as Tracking codes) in the transactions. With that, you can generate report for every location. (Won’t work for balance sheet accounts)
You may also consider naming your expense accounts with their locations, for example;
Lighting and Heating - LA
Lighting and Heating - NY
Both methods are not error proof.
