Unable to delete an account created under Equity as shown in the attached screenshot. It says “Capital Account” under the title but when I open Capital Accounts, this account does not exist. There are no transactions in the account which could stop me from being able to delete it.

The light grey writing “Capital Accounts” indicates that it is a control account that has been renamed.
You can’t delete control accounts, you can only de-activate the tab. You do this by going to Customise under Settings and un-ticking the tick box next to Capital Accounts and then scroll down and click Update .
