I appear to have an erroneous account in my chart of accounts. By that I mean an expense account that appears to have a header “Stock Purchase” and a sub title “Inventory - cost”. There are no entries against it in the summary but when I go into the chart of accounts to delete it all I can do is edit the header name. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how I can either remove the account completely or remove the sub header at least to make it more usable. Many thanks for your help.
You are working with hard-coded accounts related to inventory. The only way to get rid of them is to disable the Inventory Items tab, and then only if there have been no transactions to the affected accounts.
