Can we have two versions of Manager on the same computer?
Or that need to have virtual machine?
Note that data of an older version opened in newer version is no longer accessible in the older version.
Why would you want two versions on the same machine?
there is an issue with ZATCA e-invoicing with new versions from 2024.9.16 and after.
I have only one business that need to be comply with e-invoicing. the others can work with newer versions.
Yes, but as explained by @eko above, the manager will take data from the same folder by default. You have to be careful in opening business data. Data that has been opened in the new version cannot be reopened in the old version.
This method is complicated, but safer for your data.
Not just a two login accounts on the computer.
- The data files are stored within the logged in users file system.
- The program files are also stored within the logged in users file system by default.
So by default if you login to your computer using a different computer account, the Manager install will be different.
If you changed to port you may also be able to run two server instances however I have not tried that. A separate (virtual) computer is probably safer.
Thank you. I will try with different user account.
