This is not something I think should be solved by custom theme.
The latest version (21.6.65) fixes Amount in words for BDT currency on sales invoices. It is hard-coded which I don’t like but good enough until better solution is found.

Why you say this I can not understand. I displayed the Method with custom theme code. and works perfectly fine. as per my knowledge. (I am not a developer or coder)
but want to understand the actual problem.
As per me, you can give option (As we select date and Number format) to a users to select ‘millions’ format or ‘Crore/lakh’ format… if you can implement it directly then its better. and then after no custom theme/code required.
That is what was done.
