Themes are an obsolete feature and support for which has stopped with the introduction of the QR code so the two aren’t compatible.

To customize your invoice, you can either:

  1. Settle for Footers to customize the content and make limited visual changes, or
  2. Adapt your themes to be compatible with the QR code. Note that you might lose the timestamp information and might have to use issue date instead. See the following topic for more information:

Ensure that your new theme design leaves space for the QR code and does not overlap with other elements. The QR code should be clearly visible and scannable. If you have access to the theme’s code, you may need to adjust the positioning of the QR code. Look for the section in the code where the QR code is generated and modify the coordinates or the div container to fit the new theme layout. Since the timestamp might be lost when adapting themes for QR code compatibility, use the issue date as a reference point in your invoices. After making changes, test the QR code by scanning it with a smartphone to ensure it correctly displays the invoice information.
