Setting up custom tax codes

I’m wondering how to setup tax code that can do this:

  • Charge 5% VAT on 75% of invoice amount
  • Charge 12.36% Service tax on 25% of invoice amount

Create two custom tax codes

  • VAT with 5% rate
  • Service tax with 12.36% rate

then when issuing invoice to customer, make sure to split the invoiced amount (75%/25%) into two line items and apply VAT tax code on first line, Service tax tax code on the second line.

When I try to create new tax code it do not accept percentage as I enter.
e-g I want to create GST 17% when I put 17 % and click update it shows 1717% in new tax code.

You must be using some older version (there was a bug that could be causing this but that was long time ago). Upgrade to the latest from http://www.manager.io and try to create custom tax code again.
