A long time ago (when I still had hair on my head) I added a custom field to my invoices so that I could do a search on serial numbers to enable me to double check warranties and ownership etc.
Using the Report “Sales Invoice Totals by Custom Field” I was able to add and use “Ctrl + F” when the report was on screen and it would give me a search field so I was able to punch in a serial number and then by clicking (or drilling down) on the Value Column on the report it would give me the invoice details.
I haven’t had to do any searches for quite a while but as I need to do some now, I’ve found that the “Ctrl + F” trick is not behaving so the search field is no longer appearing on screen
If anyone is able to explain what I’m doing wrong or what I may have overlooked I would be extremely grateful.
Just another question on doing the serial number search and with all of the work that’s been going on with Manager, I was also wondering if I may be able to try doing an “Advanced Query” instead of using the report to track down the sales details relating to the serial numbers ?
