Search amongst a company

Dear developers,
please, create a basic search function amongst a company.
I know there is a search function, but it is within certain transactions only.
Is it possible to create a search function that would search within the whole company?

Do you mean global search like QuickBooks?

It is not clear at all what you are asking for.

I guess you can call it a Global search like in Quickbooks

That’s a very resource intensive feature and it’s really not an efficient way of searching unless of course it’s broken down into separate fields with some search logic, then it becomes really expensive.

But as long as it doesn’t:

  1. make the server less responsive
  2. Increases cost, or
  3. Affect the reliability of the database;

then I guess it should be fine.
