Sales Representative (Marketing)

Sales Representative (Marketing)
Sales Representative (Marketing)
I have 3 representatives distributing the company’s products for sale with the ((distribution)) system

In the morning
The representative is delivered a set of items available to the company in warehouses under a goods delivery voucher
Delegate No. A1 :truck:
The delegate moves to distribute over his specified area within the city
Part of the merchandise is sold for cash
Part of the merchandise is being sold later
Part of the merchandise is returned to the warehouse
Invoice No. A2 :truck:
Same as previously mentioned
Delegate No. A3 :truck:
Same as previously mentioned
the question
1 How to deal with the delegate
How to match the account with the customer by the representative
Is the manager’s program capable of carrying out this process?
What are the steps that are required to implement this procedure in the correct ways?

As for the wholesale sales representative, their number is (2). The invoice is issued directly in the name of the customer, but it is under the responsibility of the representative, including the collection of money.
How is the sales representative dealt with? In this case, what are the methods used by the manager to obtain the best results?

Thank you all for your cooperation

Create custom field for Customers with a drop-down list containing representatives.

How is a sub-invoice issued to the customer from the roving seller’s account in the company’s name?
Company Invoice >> Sales Representative Invoice >> Sectoral Customer Invoice

There are no sub-invoices.

Could the traveling salesman be a project number A, for example?

In this way, the sub-invoices are from the main branch, given that the roving seller is the branch of the company to which the customer belongs

Try multiple methods

  • Create a test business
  • Enter some trial data
  • See if you can get the reports and data entry you want

Adopt what ever works best for your business

May I explain more to you than before
Salesperson
He is considered the first responsible for dealing with the customer, and so that the sales representative has the first responsibility for the products, he must assign that responsibility to him and it is not hidden from everyone that there are some sales representatives who manipulate the company’s money, and some of them are serious in dealing and honest at work and for this reason it is necessary to The sales representative should bear the responsibility before the company, but in the event of a material defect or a defect in the stock delivered to the sales representative. The customer is contacted directly
The accounts must be identical to the representative and the client
How is the sales representative’s account linked to the customer’s account through the manager?
And how is the account of the customer and the sales representative matched together from the manager’s solution?
Is it possible to issue a sub-invoice from the invoice of the sales representative?
Note that the custom fields did not meet the requirements and there was no link between the accounts
I thank everybody

@Tut already answered that with no. There are also no links between sales representatives accounts and customers accounts but @sharpdrivetek advised you to create a customs field where you can select representatives, so at least they will show even though no internal db-links between customers and representatives (Manager can not do that nor do any timed automation).

Manager is an accounting system.
I have no problem with you valuing Sales personnel in your organisation however that does not change the fact Manager is an accounting program.

If you really want a management information system then there are better products for that application.

Having said that, how did you go when you actually tried the two options. If neither is workable then looking a a wider range of programs is likely to help your business.

Good day, all.

If you have sales representatives who work on a commission-base. How do you incorporate it into the accounting to see their sales commission by sales?

Divisions are not working accordingly to setup sales rep’s.

All previous accounting programs I worked with had it incorporated so that the rep name was linked to the customer and you could track the rep’s performance and the commission owed to them.

Do I miss something that I didn’t pick up reading the guides or here in the forum?

Blessings
Christo

To link the sales representative to your Customers, you can use Custom Fields. See https://www.manager.io/guides?custom-fields.

This method can fulfill your goals if your setup is fixed assignment of Customers to Salespeople.

There’s been a discussion where the developer expressed intent on making something to the effect of exposing the user field to transactions. I tried searching for it for, but unfortunately I couldn’t find the post.

That only connects the rep to the customer, it doesn’t show to rep’s commission report. This is a standard procedure in other accounting programs.

You should ensure that the placement for the Custom Field is set to:

  1. Customer
  2. Sales Invoice

Then, whenever a Sales Invoice is created, the Custom field will be automatically populated based on customer selection.

This way you can use Advanced Queries in Sales Invoices tab to get your sales by salesperson.

Sorry but you seem to confuse CRM functions that some ERPs have with Accounting applications. Please provide some evidence about this claim by giving some Non-ERP and or CRM accounting applications that do this. Thank you.

Pastel, Quickbooks, Sage, TurbCash, and Omni accounts are ones that I worked with before, if they are ERP or CRM, I don’t know. All I know is that I could track the rep’s commission and sales without setting up another system to do it. If you work on a commission base then most reps are freelance and not employees and you need to track them so they can get paid.

Thanks, I did it, but that still doesn’t show their commission earned.

If it is an important feature for your business, then you should chose the software accordingly

Sage Pastel, Sage 50 and above indeed have ability to increasing detail by version to generate Sales rep commission reports.

Quickbooks does not have it see https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/business-profile/track-sales-commissions-quickbooks-online/L9cpc8Uqs_US_en_US

QuickBooks Online currently does not have a calculation feature for sales commissions. However, there is a way for you to track your sales by employee, sales rep, etc. using its two tracking features: Class Tracking and Location Tracking .

However, QuickBooks integrates with third-party apps like Commissionly and Method for automated commission tracking.

Like Quickbooks, Turbocash, Omni Accounts and Manager accounting applications do not have a dedicated built-in feature specifically for salesperson commission tracking. However, you can, as shown here for Manager by others manage and calculate commissions using a combination of their features and manual methods.

I worked with these programs before, I sold Omni accounts and Omni has a switch that can be purchased if needed.

If I had the budget I would have gone for it again, but I lost 2 businesses due to covid as customers closed down and some passed away, so I’m busy recovering from it I have used Manager Desktop for some time now and looking to use it’s potential that is there.

I just try to make sense of where what is still, as I don’t find what I’m looking for or can’t spot-read it or it is just not available or works the way I like it to work.
