Request for adding codes for groups in Chart of Accounts

Hi, we already have Account Codes for can it be extended to Account Groups in PL and Balance Sheet?

Some businesses use GAAP and would like to make chart of accounts similar to below (having codes for groups and items):

US GAAP Chart of Accounts | IFRS and US GAAP

but currently Manager only allows codes for singular accounts.

The question is irrelevant. Accounting standards prescribe how you must use your accounting knowledge and tools. Manager is just a tool that can be used no matter what standards you follow. Manager basically adheres to two fundamental accounting principles: In every transaction, debits must equal credits. Assets = Liabilities +Equity

If you want to use codes for Balance sheet groups just make it part of the Group name, such as 1.1 Bank & Cash Accounts.
