I want to print a report showing the total sales at the level of each invoice, as well as the purchases

Invoice total collum shows total sales at level of each invoice.
Do similar for purchase invoice. @gate

What id the purpose of the report?

If it is related to tax, you could see if any of built-in tax reports are sufficient

Otherwise you will have to create a custom report
