Remove asset from starting balance

I entered a starting balance for a few assets by mistake. Now I cannot seem to find a way to remove them. When I go to Settings > Starting Balances > the asset - there is no way to delete. There is just an update button with the cost field open. Please help as I now have double entries when I enter the assets in the correct place.

I can’t tell if you are doing something incorrectly or left out a step in your description. The way to adjust a starting balance for a fixed asset is to click on:

Settings > Starting Balances > Blue balance for Fixed assets account > Edit for asset in question

Then adjust the purchase cost and click Update.

This process does not eliminate the asset itself. It only adjusts the carried over starting balance from a prior accounting system (if any). If this is not what you are trying to do, please explain further.
